Ambient noise impact on accuracy of automated hearing assessment. (Publication)

Ambient noise typical of that found in a non-sound-treated room, did not affect the accuracy of air conduction hearing thresholds obtained with the KUDUwave™. The KUDUwave™ may be a viable method of testing when a clinical audiometer and sound booth are not available.

This study was the first of it’s kind to validate the accuracy of the KUDUwave™ outside a sound treated environment. This study provides good evidence that the KUDUwave™ monitors ambient noise levels well enough to always ensure a quiet enough environment when tests are performed.
